Phase 1Books of the Bible — Learning Lab

Learning Lab

Practice anything, as often as you like. Nothing here is scored or recorded, mistakes never count against you, and there is no clock and no leaderboard — just reps.

Watch & Listen

The two approved memory songs — available throughout all six modules.

Memory Songs — a serious tool

Melody is one of the strongest memory aids there is. Turn on captions if you need them — the ordered book lists below the videos and in the Learning Lab are always available as a text alternative.

A helpful note: these study divisions and the printed order are organizational tools that help you learn and navigate — they are not inspired divisions. The words of Scripture are inspired; the shelf labels are ours.

Optional: how the Hebrew Bible orders things differently

The Hebrew Tanakh contains the same Old Testament material but groups and orders it differently — Law (Torah), Prophets (Nevi'im), and Writings (Ketuvim), ending with Chronicles rather than Malachi. Interesting to know; for all PRM checkpoints and assessments, use the standard order shown above.

Study the correct order first

Tap the books below in canonical order, starting with the first.

Say It Out Loud

Optional spoken practice and mentor-observed recitation.

When you're ready, practice reciting a section out loud — untimed, to yourself or with a housemate. Speaking the order builds a different kind of memory than tapping it.

Final Phase 1 mastery includes reciting the Old and New Testament orders to your mentor, who signs it off. If speaking is a barrier, an approved accommodation (typed, AAC, or another equivalent recall method) counts exactly the same — just ask your mentor or coach.
