Our Story
Anthoney and Sharnice both became members of the Facebook group "8:24 Singles Collective" โ a community for Christian singles ages 30+ โ about six months apart. A week before Sharnice's 30th birthday, the group showed up in her suggested groups; she hesitated at first, but felt led to join.
That spring, while in California for BSSM graduation, God led Anthoney to make a reintroduction post in the group with a sense of urgency. Sharnice was leaving youth group at her church when she opened Facebook โ and Anthoney's post was the very first thing on her feed.
She felt compelled to reach out, praying for clarity about why (and making very sure Anthoney knew she was not hitting on him โ LOL). God told her to send a voice message praying for him, and in that moment, Anthoney knew he had to talk to this girl.
They spent hours talking like giddy teenagers over the next few days โ and what was most evident is that they both share a fiery passion for the things of God. There were, and continue to be, overwhelming confirmations that this is the path they are meant to walk. Some things really are meant to be. ๐
Sweet Little Details
The wedding party actually includes two Butterflies โ Kayla Tolbert & Jazmine Wright โ alongside the flower girls and Ring Security officer Landon Farmer.
Sharnice Taylor becomes a Farmer on August 29 โ which is exactly why she was #MeantToBeAFarmer all along.
Because of extensive travel and a love for intentional moments, the couple also hosted a special June reception in WV for many of the most meaningful people in the bride's life โ including Sharnice's students and their families.
There's no traditional reception โ dancing, toasts, and worship all happen right from the Jo Long Theater stage, and guests get the couple's own restaurant and outing suggestions to explore San Antonio afterward.
The groom's father, Britt Farmer, is the officiant โ and Farmers fill the wedding party, from groomsmen Tim, Jeff, Kyle & Drew to flower girl Violet.
Both events are child friendly! With a prolonged ceremony and worship, parents are simply advised to use their discretion.
